Thanksgiving Point Bridal Fair

This past Saturday was the Thanksgiving Point Bridal Fair...and it was busy!!!  I talked to so many brides and grooms that I got a hoarse voice!  Good thing I didn't have a singing "gig" the next day or I'd have been in trouble!  It was a great event and I'm looking forward to working with some fabulous brides and grooms to provide their wedding entertainment services during the spring and summer months!

The lucky winner of the $25 itunes gift certificate I gave away was Nicole Overall!  She has only been engaged for 2 weeks and her wedding date is July 21, 2011.  Her fiance' is David Nunes and they meet at a youth conference.  Nicole says they have been best friends for almost a decade...what a great way to start a marriage!  I can think of several great songs that tell that message that would be great for their cake cutting, first dance, etc.

Utah Kids Club "Winter Palooza"

In January I did a really fun family event!  It was called the "Winter Palooza" and it was put on by the Utah Kids Club and it was held at the South Towne Expo Center.  There were over 16,000 people who attended...it was incredible!  There was rock climbing walls, laser tag, bounce houses, ropes courses, a paintball dome, hair styling, games, tons of vendors, characters like Mary Poppins, Justin Bieber, Princesses from the Princess Festival, the Venetian Warlocks, food, and on and on! 

I DJ'd the event providing fun music, games and contests, and provided sound for magicians, animal shows, karate demonstrations, gymnastics presentations, etc.  It was a great event for families and a fun day for me!

Bridal Fair Winners!

I was at the Thanksgiving Point Bridal Fair in January and met a lot of great future brides and grooms!  It's always fun to talk with potential clients there and help them determine what will be the perfect fit for their receptions.  The right music (and DJ) can make such a difference in an event...especially at a wedding!

I always give away a prize at the bridal fairs and the winners at this bridal fair was Natalie Crockett and Jared Forbes  Their special date is April 27, 2011.  Natalie and Jared met at school and had only been engaged for one week when we met!  They love to cook together and they say they are the best "kitchen dancers" in the world...my kind of people!  What a cute couple!

Lots of New Things!
